CAN YOU THINK OF A BETTER WAY TO BRING IN DECEMBER THAN . . .
WEARING RED ?
OBVIOUSLY I COULDN’T.
I’ve been taking lessons from some of my blogging friends and while in England I hit some vintage and thrift stores. One of the sales ladies told all of us women that it’s called ferreting, and it’s the best way for a group of friends to spend an afternoon. Ferreting (or in other words discovering the perfect piece).
This red jacket was my ferret find, well actually one of the sales associates literally put it on me and told me I couldn’t walk out without it. He was absolutely right.
I mean, take a look at the cute sleeves. . .
And the back . . .
Yep, I kind of like this find.
NOW IF YOU STILL WANT TO BRING IN DECEMBER WITH RED . . .
BUT NOT QUITE SURE YOU WANT TO BE SO BOLD
HOW ABOUT JUST ADDING SOME RED SHOES ?
OR
GO AS SIMPLE AS SOME FUN RED NAIL POLISH?
I would love to see how you’re wearing your red or how you decided to bring in December.
As always my friends, thanks for dropping by.
HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY !

Oh … This is so me. Totally love everything. The coat, the blouse, the boots, the shoes. If you were to have a size Large (dream on Greetje) I would come and live next door.

Greetje, I can actually see you wearing this (these outfits), and you would look wonderful in them. That’s all the more reason to move on over here.

I’m not afraid of red, Sister LOL! I must say that jacket is divine and I need to know the label name so I can start trolling eBay for one ;-P
You look like you could walk a runway in this outfit, Trina! I’m just smitten with the whole package.

Hi Trina!
Tks for your comment on my engagement
I never heard of that word – Ferreting and probably never will!
That is a superb coat indeed, all the details makes it so extraordinaire!
trinagrandinetti says
I had never heard of it either, but I thought it was quite funny and I catch myself using it a lot now days.

Here’s me, late but present, teacher! Great post on your coat, and a great lesson on
Red as a concept. So many associations … not just our holidays, either. This coat just speaks in a 19th century, ton-y British accent. Or perhaps it’s concealing your side-arms or sword? Any way you think of it, you look brilliant. Clearly one of your best finds.
I’m off to batten down the hatches … as I write, there’s a guy trying to fix my heating system before this predicted ice storm hits! Wish me luck.
