It’s no secret around this blog, one of my favorite activities is to create a table scape.
This past week winter has decided to pay another visit here (at least outdoors) but I’m so ready for spring I could scream and dance and shout at the top of my lungs for mother nature to hear me. So I decided why not cheer myself up and bring some spring indoors (THANK YOU Trader Joes)
I cleared off my dining room table and stared at it for a while and then, as usual began collecting objects throughout my home that reminded me of spring.
I started with this bark center piece and added a few of my succulents (by the way, I’m so proud of myself, with a lot of tlc, they have survived indoors so far-until they can get themselves back into my yard come real time spring).
I then began thinking how I wanted to set the table. I don’t do this often but I truly wanted a fresh clean simple (spring) feeling, therefore, I chose to use some antique place mats with matching napkins instead of a tablecloth.
This also called for a simple earthy table runner so I used some muslim I had stashed in my craft room. Then I went to town filling in the gaps with fresh wild flower and arrangements (all from trader joes). I placed them in various vases I already had, including vintage as well as mason jars.
I invited some friends over for a fun casual Friday night dinner and I didn’t want them to leave empty handed so I ran to the dollar store, purchased small vases and then filled them each with a wild flower bouquet and tied them up with burlap and lace ribbons. So simple yet so beautiful and what a way to spread some spring time love.
When I walked into my downstairs area this morning the entire atmosphere felt and smelled of spring.
As always my friends thanks for dropping by. Hope you can find some spring time beauty today.

I love this! So pretty and fresh for Spring! Maybe it will inspire me to get busy with my own table. I haven’t touched it since removing Christmas!
