I don’t do business attire very often . . .
Not that I don’t enjoy a nice business attire, I simply don’t live the lifestyle that requires this type of dressing. And yet, sometimes I just find myself in the mood to feel more professional for the day. Maybe to be taken a little more serious, ok, that’s not true . . . I’m far from being a serious type of person. But in all seriousness I do believe there are times and days when the old business attire calls to be put on.
My type of business attire requires some sort of playfulness.
Today, as I have a fun luncheon to attend with friends, it was the perfect excuse to put together this type of attire. Since winter decided to pay a visit again last night, I took out my playful penguin printed blouse (anthro but old) and built business type ensemble.
I chose my flared cropped trousers (ann taylor) instead of cigarette or pixie type to give it a more on trend look. *have you noticed, it makes a huge difference with these pants on the shoes you wear, chunky or square heels seem to be a must.
And instead of a plain black blazer, I paired it with a houndstooth print (banana republic) to really jazz it up.
Besides, I’m far from being too serious to look too business like.
As always my friends, thanks for dropping by. Have a wonderful Friday!
🙂 Lovely outfit, suits you very well!
Greetings from Vienna 🙂
Styled to perfection.
I think I’m in love with that bag. Vintage?

You would be the one the catch this. Yes, I found this at an antique shop in Omaha, while visiting Tori (when she stilled lives there). It was a great little store.
Wonderfully elegant … and really beautiful! I love this outfit, I like the classic look with the touch of avant-garde needed. The jacket is beautiful and the pants are spectacular. The printed blouse is cute and the bag too. I really liked her hairstyle. You are always very attractive, today adds a touch of seduction.
