This morning I had another phone call asking what my NYE plans were.
We normally stay home and cook a gormet dinner with steak, lobster and lots of sides. All family and friends are welcome to join us and we begin making the dinner list about now so we know how many lobster tails to order. After dinner we play board games, a little round robbin pool challenge and any end the evening with a card game. Simple, old fashion, and a whole lot of fun.
Staying home, means two things: One- you beat the crowds and noise at a restaurant, and Two- you don’t have to worry about some fancy dress up attire (which is fun but some times not the most comfortable or practical). Therefore, today I thought I would share a few not so dressed up NYE outfit ideas. These are outfits I wear all the time and yet when it’s party time, I can easily pull them together once again.
The first one is what I would call playing dress up with shoes and socks.
By pairing some boyfriend jeans with fishnet ankle socks and high heels (especially red) you instantly feel dressed up.
I also paired a long sleeve graphic tee with a blingy statement necklace . . .
And topped the entire outfit off with my black fur vest. (this is the one I upcycled from my mothers old fur jacket).
Seriously makes a very comfy fun outfit.
The second outfit is a bit more formal-casual.
I paired my black leather tuxedo pants with a sequin/tweed jacket. This combination could easily be quite dressy if paired with a fancy blouse and necklace but today I kept it casual by pairing it with a denim button down. If I decide to wear this on NYE I will most likely pair it with my cream blouse.
Are you thinking of your NYE plans yet? If so I would love to hear about them.
I love the first outfit! Love the fishnet and red shoes, and furry vest and statement necklace. All the thing that it takes to make an outfit with denim trés chic! Love the tuxedo pant and fabulous jacket!
Great NYE inspiration!

Thank you cute lady. I’m looking forward to seeing you NYE outfit, I have no doubt it will be something incredible.
Had no idea they make knee high fishnets
Actually their anklets, even better, right?
I am totally into the first outfit. The bottom part I can copy easily and for the top part I have enough lying around just not exactly this. I love that look.
Have a splenid NYE Trina.
