THANKSGIVING-PIES-AND TRADITIONS

What’s Thanksgiving without Pies?

pieswithmolly5

I mean, other than a turkey sitting on the table is your meal complete without pies? I told about my thanksgiving tradition of baking pies a few years ago so I won’t bore you with that again.

I’ll just leave you with how we, at the Grandinetti’s, love our pies.

*Little side not* for those of you new to my blog, my husband owns Rocky Mountain Pies, a bakery which specializes in Pies that are distributed throughout the United States to grocery stores.

Last week Molly asked to go see Papples at work and see how the pies were made.

Their ovens bake a little more than mine at home.

Today, I’m once again counting my blessings which include family, friends, health and also those of you who decide to purchase pies instead of baking them yourself.

Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Longtime reader who did not know this! Thanks for sharing.

I love pie and it’s a dessert I still make from scratch. It was my grandma that taught me pie making and I treasure the memories.

Oh, Sue, it’s so nice to hear from you. My grandmother taught me to bake pies also, I posted about this about three years ago, haha. I still mkae a few from scratch and get teased a great deal about it, but boy are they yummy.

I remember well you telling me about Par’s business. What a lovely picture of him with Molly. It looks as if they have a lot in common.

This is so interesting! You managed to get some great photos of the whole process.

It reminds me of Laverne and Shirley …remember that series? They worked in a factory with a conveyor belt.

It also reminded me of a Lucille Ball skit where she worked in a factory where they made chocolates and she ended up eating so many of them! ha ha! I think that’d be me if I was there : )

I agree Thanksgiving is lost without the sweet warm treat of pie! My favorite is pumpkin and pecan. That is so cool that hubby owns a pie company. Where in NYC can I find them?
    Molly looks so adorable, too!
My mother in law used to bake the best pies, and was such a good cook and gracious hostess, like someone else I know!! 🙂
    xx, Elle
