Let’s be honest for a minute, since I’m a (young at heart) retired gal and no longer need to dress up for the work day this is basically my everyday kind of style once fall season rolls around.
It normally consists of jeans and I’m finding I prefer black, grey or these new faded black which are kind of blackish grey (right?). And talk about comfy they have just the right about of stretch but they haven’t stretched to the point of not fitting my waist, which we all know how inconvenient a pair of jeans can become when you’re constantly pulling them back up.
I know, some of you don’t like or prefer holes in the knee or jeans but I couldn’t resist the comfort so I gave in once again.
With skinny jeans I prefer wearing oversize tops and longer cardigans, I like covering up a bit.
And this time around I couldn’t decide which necklace I wanted to wear so I just doubled up . . .which ended up being perfect! Both are hand crafted, one I bought at a street fair and the beaded is from my awesome friend Suzanne.
Now let’s all go have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for dropping by my friends.
outfit details: jeans:madewell (no I’m not sponsored I’m far from being that popular, haha), blouse:Ann Taylor, cardigan and hat: Banana republic (last year), booties-Target.
Linking up with my friend Patti for Visible Monday
I think it is a splendid outfit. Love everything. Especially Suzanne’s necklace and your new boots.
Had to laugh over your remark of not being that popular to be sponsored. Here is another one.

Thank you my friend. Glad I finally made you laugh, but isn’t it the truth.
What a great outfit! I love seeing people wear my creations. It brings them to life : )

Love the jeans, long cardi and fabulous hat. I think the denim is all about the fit, and not about the holes, or lack of them, This outfit is a clear winner!
I love to wear denim, but also love to dress up!

Thank you Elle, and it’s not often we see you in denim but you do look lovely when you do decide to bring them out.
Wonderful casual chic, Trina. isn’t it fun to not have a dress code? Love your double necklaces and fab boots. xox

Dress Code . . . yes I love having no code what so ever.
Love this outfit!! from the hat to the booties perfection … a fabulous example of casual chic . As a gal who is starting to embrace retirement (or at least semi) I too am enjoying simple comfy pieces… and I say we can wear destressed jeans over 40 any day … (I’m 50) … visiting from Visible Monday.
Thank you Celia!
I love this casual look, especially that sweater!
Thank you Terri and thanks so much for dropping by.
Really cute outfit! Looks great on you.
Thank you my friend.
You look smashing in this outfit! Great choices. I’d forgotten how great black jeans look 🙂 Just a super outfit and very flattering on you!
Thank you Bonnie, I seem to forget about black jeans until fall rolls in, but I do enjoy the instant friendship once again.
