A tablescape for August needs to be cheery and bright (at least in my home) this year
If you follow my blog, you already know how I like to switch my home decor up. It’s my little creative outlet here.
And the one first place I always begin is with our big family table. It’s the place we gather the most and it always sets the mood for the rest of my home.
After putting away my fourth of July decor, I was itching to bring in some fun sunshine and cheery mood from the outside to the inside.
And what better colors to do this than with some white-blue and big pops of bright yellow . . .
I first pulled out a vintage white linen table cloth which I layed on the table in a triangle shape making it look less formal. An then used my quilted blue paisley print table runner to begin my tablescape.
As usual I then went around my home and storage bins and gathered some white, blue and yellow accessories.
Finishing it off with a trip to Trader Joes for fresh flowers and it was complete.
For the place settings I alternated the placemats, some being blue crochet ones and the others with the white and blue patterned bordered and then used my blue and yellow Furio dishes (which I scored thrift shopping a few years ago).
Now this table just makes me smile!

Trina, Love the blue white and yellow theme. One of my favorites. Thanks for sharing. Sylvia D.
Yellow is so bright & cheery – I especially love yellow flowers! And yellow and blue is such a pretty combination. Your table is so inviting!
What a fabulous table. Stunning color scheme and that pop of lime is perfect!!
I love this colour scheme! So South-of-France!
You have some great plates in your collection and I love that little tea pot napkin holder.
