Have you heard of the “Traveling Yellow Skirt Freak Show?”
Well if you haven’t, you’ve been missing one fanastic show . . .
It all began here in July of 2012 (yes, four years ago this month) when my dear friend and fellow blogger, Melanie @ bagandaberet purchased this big vibrant yellow skirt on sale. She then wore it a few times (I’m certain quite enjoying herself) and then shared some of her unique creations on her blog. It became special on the day one of her readers decided to send a very critical comment . . . (really ???)
But what happened afterwards is when the magic began to happen . . .
Because you guessed it, a bunch of women quickly began responding with supportive remarks, enthusiasm, and genuine friendships emerged.
And that, my friends is how this fabulous skirt began its travel through the world.
What to do when it lands on your doorstep?
I think of this skirt as the Traveling Yellow Skirt of Friendship. And believe me, it’s literally traveled around the world . . .
You can follow along its journey here, where you can also see the fun photo gallery of all the places its been.
Since its become quite famous in our blogging network when it landed on my doorstep, my first reaction was YIKES! How on earth was I going to share a bit of Trina with it?
I recieved this treasure from the beautiful Sally @Sarsapillasal from Italy with a warning ” She’s demanding, I warn you, as any real diva should be. But she pushed me to greater heights and herself as well. I’m sure you’ll enjoy her company as much as I have.”
She was absolutely correct!
Pushed she did . . .
She pushed her way up to our gorgeous magistic mountains . . .
Where she wanted to try a bit of Utah Cowgirl flare . . .
Where she wanted to dance a bit . . .
Where she wanted a taste of Trina Bohomehiam style . . .
To where she wanted to dress all up . . .
And truly feel like Queen of the Mountain tops . . .
But most of all she was true to what she really represents and that is . . .
To Enjoy Life
To Enjoy Dressing Up
To Surrender to the Positivity of Life
And to Dance, Baby, Dance !!!
I feel truly honored and grateful for the time this big piece of beautiful yellow fabric, AKA The Traveling Yellow Skirt spent in my company (btw, it’s a Joe fresh brand). Now its off to see Marea @mimisuitcase.
Linking up with Alice for TBT and Patti for Visible Monday
I really love how you wore it with so many things Trina!!
And did you add anything to it?

Thank you Jodie, and yes, I just finished adding my signature embellishment to this treasure. thanks for asking as I now need to take a little photo to remember it by.
How wonderful to see you prancing around in the mountains of Utah with it divine creation!
I agree that you hit the nail on the head when it is truly what the skirt represents that makes it so special.
Loved this!

Right? There is truly something special about the traveling bit of friendship.
Love seeing your interpretation of the Yellow Skirt! I can’t believe it’s been 3 years since I wore it! Welcome to the Yellow Skirt family, Trina!
I can’t believe its been three years since you wore it! How can that possibly be?
YIPPPPEEEEE!!!!! So happy to see you’ve sprinkled Trina magic onto the yellow skirt! YOU are so fabulous in every look you’ve created….you didn’t mention a favourite though. Right off, I LOVED the Utah mountain vibe….that flirty peek of cowboy boot…yes’m! But. I’m torn. Seeing her {the yellow skirt} dressed up with black bows and an adorable top hat….steals my heart too…and reminds me of Greetje’s iteration as well.
Oh my gosh…all so much fun! I remember it well!
Sue, isn’t it funny how once you put this huge vibrant thing on, it just becomes magical and you truly have so much fun. I seriously don’t have a favorite, but the cowgirl style is definitetly the most Trina out of them all.
Hwahahaha!! Trina, I can see that you and the Skirt have been up to all good!! I just makes me grin to see her in your mountains, on you, both vibrating with energy. Your stylings are brilliant. I do believe that Skirt helps people bring out their absolute best and each stop adds to its inspirational powers fueled by all the women who have put their imprint on it.
Thank you so much, Trina, for joining in and having fun! Mwah!
Amen to every word you said! You should feel so proud and warm at heart to see what you started, haha.
You are sunshine , flowers and fabulous!
Oh, thank you Wendra!
So fun to see your take on Big Yellow. Looks like you had a good time with her!
Had a fabulous time with this treasure!
Trina, you did so well. Not only styled it once but several times. The Utah cowgirl is closest to your own style I suppose, but you went out of your comfort zone too. I adore the last look. But that is also beause of the cute hat and the sandals …. the sandals. I am drooling over the sandals…. Big big want here.
Greetje
Hahaha, those sandals are so fun (at least to sit in) they always seem to steel the show. Take a guess what I bought these shoes for? . . . Tori’s wedding, haha, A friend of mine was walking through Nordstroms and sent me a text saying, “found the perfect shoes for you and Tori”. And they truly were perfect for the event and pictures but being the really smart and practical women that we are, we also purchased a pair of really comfy flats that we slipped on about 5 minutes after pictures were taken and never thought twice about putting those heels on again for the entire 3 hours of fun!
I have not seen this skirt in some time and lots of addition since I last was it on a blog. You are too cute with your outfits and photos!

fantastic! so many lovely pics…. I’ll never forget the feeling when I was waring this fascinating yellow skirt this springtime ;-). Ghislana
What fun you clearly had with this fabulous piece of friendship! I’m so impressed at all of the outfits you put together and really can’t decide on a favourite. Although if I were pushed, I’d have to plump for the cowboy boots making that the most awesome version of yellow fabulousness. Am a mixture of excited and awed at the prospect of my turn coming up next. Wish me luck x

Hi, Trina! So happy to find you! it’s great to see the yellow skirt again and they variety you bestowed on her was very cool! I found you via JBoyd and we have very similar taste. You are a master of style! I have been out of the blogosphere for a couple years, due to health issues. I am currently revamping the old blog which turns out to be an exciting adventure. Things certainly can change in two years! Nice to “meet” ya!
