Here in the U.S.A. we will be celebrating our national holiday on July 4th and it’s all about red, white, and blue!
I’m not really one who will wear a tee shirt sporting a flag or an outfit that screams RED, WHITE, and BLUE, but I do think there’s some fun and classy ways to enjoy this color combination.
This is one of my choices for this year.
My white walking shorts (ann taylor), a simple royal blue tee (gap), and pull them together with a woven belt (jcrew-last year).
I also decided to add this fun lightweight scarf (ann taylor) for another accessory, along with my anchor necklace.
To keep this outfit grounded and not screaming red, white, and blue, I paired it with some natural leather sandals (lucky brand) (instead of red or white or blue shoes).
Remember with a scarf, if it gets too hot, you simply just tie it to your purse.

I like this because it doesn’t seem so costumey as other outfits I’ve seen! Of course, not that a costume is all that bad, but I feel like I already did that many years ago–ha ha!

I absolutely love your gorgeous scarf! This is an absolutely stunning way to wear red, white, and blue. The subtle pattern mix with your belt and scarf is fabulous, too. And those sandals are perfect with the classic styling. Perfection!
