Here in the U.S. it’s GAME DAY! But for me it’s a great excuse for “A Gathering”, an excuse to bake and cook some yummy food, an excuse to laugh and enjoy one another and inbetween all that possibly watch a few football plays.
It’s no news to any of you followers, my family is a sports family. We live by the motto “A family who plays together, stays together” so today those that live near by will be gathering to watch and eat and socialize.
I’ve got my kitchen island prepped . . .
and ready for serving.
Even a little touch of Trina (flowers)
The last thing I want to be doing during this gathering is cooking, therefore I have prepped all the food before kick off.
Here’s my menu for today . . .
And I’m certain there will be more added once family and friends arrive.
As for football game attire . . .
Well, I first thought this scarf I knew it would be the perfect table runner (which it is),
but I couldn’t resist buying another to wrap around myself.
I wouldn’t want my family to think it’s only about the gathering, right?
Ok, let the Game and Gathering begin!
For my U.S. friend, are you gathering as well today?
As always thanks for dropping by, have a most wonderful day.
Joining Patti for visible Monday.
Your gathering sounds delicious! And I love the fun scarf!
The Super Bowl is happening a few miles from us, but we are not having a gathering this year. We just came back from a beautiful hike, will enjoy a late lunch soon, and then “casually watch” the game.
Have fun!
It’s always about the gathering for me! You’re so darling in that wrap. I can’t wait to meet your fun self one of these days!!

You are something else, Trina – I can’t get over how fun you make this event, well, any event. I could even stomach football if I were immersed in that wonderful ambiance you create. Of course, it’s about the gathering, a good reminder.
That menu is mouth-watering (and I haven’t even had my oatmeal yet!) You make a gorgeous table and I love that scarf. Thanks for linking, xox

What is wrapped up so nicely with the cute whistle?
No sports of us. Whew! Ha ha. By now you know we aren’t sports fans at all except once every 4 years when there is the world soccer games going on.
Your gathering does look inviting though.
So funny you found those scarves.
bisous

We know of this game in the Netherlands but I do not follow any sport. I heard about Lady Gaga and Beyonce, Coldplay and Bruno Mars. So I had a look on YouTube. Pretty amazing. They must have practiised soooo much. Millitary clockwork.
Oh yes and the game… I understand it wasn’t particularly exciting? Just hear-say dear, I know nothing about it. But I get it that you are all prepared to watch it. And that scarf looks amazingly good on you. Hope you had a lovely time.

My hubby was traveling, so I did a photo shoot that day, it was quiet in NYC, except for the bars!
stay warm!
