When Tori (my daughter) came for a visit she asked me if I would help throw a tea party baby shower for her wonderful friend.
Well, you know me and tea parties . . .
Since she’s expecting a little girl we easily decided on a pink, pastel, and gold theme.
First designing the invite . . .
then adding the layers . . .
(here’s my little OCD or organization part of me)
Cutting the edges of the invoice with crafting scissors gives the perfect blend of texture
*Glued them to the pink card stock
*layered on a soft pink velum with a pink ribbon
*then added on the “your invited” tag
After the invites were mailed out, we began with the pink, pastels, and gold decorations.
First hanging a banner . . .
And poms from the chandelier . . .
The day before the shower I put together the flower arrangements by using two gold long stem vases and placing floral foam in the center, then I simply bought a few super market bundle of pastel flowers and started cutting and arranging.
Then we added more pink and gold accessories . . .
Like gold books, a glittered leaf, pink bubble gum, and individual potted flowers which we placed in pink and white treat containers (for the guest to take home).
Pink Tea Pots . . .
Once the table center piece is finished . . .
We set the place settings, this time we used my gold rimmed white china layered with different pastel salad plates.
And adding appetizers to match for the finishing touches.
We had a crepe bar for our main course, thanks to Logan (my son-in-law) for being the best crepe chef around.
For a vignette, I chose to display the gift I was giving mom and baby.
Lovely shower

Baby Gracee is already truly blessed.

Thank you, Suzanne. It’s one of those hobbies that enable me to use my creative energy.
What a positively gorgeous shower! I love all the little details. I think my favorite part was the banner! Love it! Are you a professional Party Planner</a ? If not, I think you just found your new career! Cheers!
Not a professional party planner at all, just love to entertain my dear friends.
Lucky friends! 🙂
I am gobsmacked. I believe that is the true British frase for it. So beautiful. Where do you get all these ideas? You do know you are very creative don’t you?
Really perfect again. Those strawberries dipped in ??? are my favourite.
Greetje
I do love that British phrase. The strawberries were dipped in pink chocolate and then we sprinkled the dots on them. Yes, they were yummy! I do realize we all have gifts and talents and apparently mine is creativity. My mind just thinks up these crazy ideas and I have always felt the need to create whether it be with my mind, my hands, cooking, decorating, etc. But I truly believe that with every gift we have been given, we also must share it with others as often as we can. That is what brings complete joy to my life. I do feel bad that the only way I share it with you and other blogging friends is through photos, not really the same at all.
You cannot feel bad about that as there is nothing you can do about it. You should feel joyful that you can share your ideas with us through the photos and stories.
Oh my goodness Trina!! This is so beautiful. Your party planning and attention to detail is fabulous. We have so much in common, it amazes me:). The joys of blogging and connecting!! Such a beautiful mommy to be…
