For those of you who have been following for a while know when I travel, I do so lightly. On this last little get away to San Diego the weather was to be around 70 with a slight breeze so I packed just a few simple, casual, yet still somewhat stylish essentials.
On my travel days I wore my boyfriend jeans paired with this fun textured blouse and very comfy sandals. Making it easy to walk through the airport and ready to hit the board walk when we arrived.
Molly kind of did the same.
On the days when we weren’t in swimwear I packed my linen pants, linen tee, and a lightweight cardigan. And who needs shoes when walking on the beach, right?
Tori makes it really easy by packing a sundress that you can layer with a scarf or cardigan for the evening.
A few hats, sunnies, and sandals and I’m basically set.
How do you travel for a visit to the beach?
Linking up with MisPapelicos for share-in-style

oh gosh, I wish I could do this. Indeed you look stylish, very much so. Packing light… I wouldn’t know where to begin.

Well, you and Suzanne can be prepared to know I will be traveling light in July at our meet-up as well, so don’t expect anything too glamorous. Just me and a simple pair of shoes and a few basic outfits.
If they are anything like these “basic outfits”, you will need no more.
Argh. I’m lame at packing light. It’s always the shoes that mess me up. If I could find one pair that doesn’t bother my feet after 8 hours that will go with everything then I’d be set. As it is I usually end up with 3-5 pairs each time just to ensure I’m not in pain.
You look like a wizard that this. Stylish but relaxed.

It truly is about the shoes. I always pack according to which comfy shoes I decide to take. I normally never travel with heels so don’t expect a tall Trina in July. I normally pack one pair plus my workout (running shoes), and then the pair I’m wearing. I find I also need to switch off each day so my feet don’t hurt.
How do we travel to the beach… usually with two kids, two boogie boards, beach towels, Turkish wrap (for me), sunscreen, change of clothes (for everyone), hats, water bottles, the cricket set (bat, at least 3 balls, pads, helmet and stumps) and one soccer ball *sigh – if only I could be as stylish…..maybe one day (in fifteen years time)…
LOVE your sandals Trina! I tend to travel lighter and lighter each time I travel! And I love it! I’m excited that you can give us a little show and tell on how to pack light when you’re in Vancouver this summer!
I am so awful at packing light. I do try to pick a base color with my outfits and then add colors with accessories. You look so relaxed in these photos.
