Last weekend I took another spontaneous trip to see my son. When I do this, it consists of packing lightly, hopping on a plane, and then enjoying a few fun filled days. Actually a lot of the time is spent at a college arena watching him play basketball or taking him grocery shopping. Therefore I thought I would share how I dress for a comfort and playtime.
COMFORTABLE RUN AROUND SHOES
For this trip I took my black patent leather vans. Fun alternative to regular sneakers.
PANTS THAT ARE EASY TO SIT IN AND YET STYLISH ENOUGH TO GO TO DINNER LATER IN THE EVENING OR EVEN DOWNTOWN SHOPPING.
I’m wearing some joggers from banana republic.
LAYERING
I prefer layering when I travel over taking a big jacket (when I can). Here I layered a short sleeve graphic tee over a long sleeve tee and then threw on a longer cardigan for extra warmth.
EASY TO CARRY (AND LARGER) PURSE OR BAG.
I normally take my camera when I travel and a few other fun accessories (like scarves) so I like to take a bag that’s easy and comfortable to carry around. I’m really loving this leather backpack. Plus it made me feel right at home on the college campus.
That’s basically how I travel and dress when I want to be comfy.
Now just for laughs I’ll share how I dress for comfort around the house, which to be honest, is a lot of the time.
It consist of fun sweats . . .
Which I can layer with denim and a vest or a jacket . . .
Yes, for when I’m going to run errands IN MY SWEATS.
How about you, my friends, how to you pack or dress for comfort and playtime?

I think you are looking pretty darned good for somebody who is dressing for comfort. I usually wear a wide pair of jogging trousers, black, a black shirt and a wide blue cardigan. Not nearly as nice as you.

Well, you probably don’t go running a bunch of errands either, haha. But thank you!

No indeed, I will not leave the house in it. Perhaps only with a big coat on top, late at night to walk the dog when Ron is not at home. I am trying not to wear this outfit much. Not a pretty sight.

Well I will let you in on my secret, today was one of those days when Par is traveling (again) and I really didn’t need to go anywhere, which actually saves me money so I just figured, why put on make-up and why even dress up for the day. So, I had an awesome no-make-up, no hair-do, and very comfy cozy sweat kind of day. I did get a lot done around the house though.

I stopped wearing sweats when I “accidentally” put on 15 lbs. Now I only wear workout clothes when I’m actually working out! LOL
LOVE the tee.
Would it be possible to have you put the Blogger meet-up button on your side bar?
Thanks!
bisous

Thank you for the reminder, I had actually walked into my office to add that button and totally got side tracked. As for the work out clothes . . . those are for working out only in my opinion as well.

I have to agree with Greetje, here. You look super great in these comfortable clothes both on campus with your layers and leather backpack, just like you belong on that campus. And later at home in those marvelous sweats and denim – chambray?-shirt. I’d love the pattern especially of those sweats , and I can see the. dressed up a bit, too.
Great cozy choices. Have a great week ahead.

Thank you, cute lady. I had a great time “pretending” to belong on campus that day.

Oh and Trina, I probably should mention that today I’m wearing my pajamas. Not too fancy. !!! But usually I wear jeans, looser ones that I find comfortable, and a soft oversize sweater.

Elle, there is nothing better in my book than a relaxing pajama kind of day (are you curled up with a book as well?)
