Once in a while the place I live in gets blanketed with a white slate
AKA a blanket of snow . . .
Where the ground is covered with pure white
And the rivers and ponds are topped with a sheer layer of delicate ice.
It’s a REFRESHING site . . .
A CLEAN site . . .
A PURE site . . .
I do love it when this appears.
I can’t think of a better way to enjoy this than embracing some winter white myself . . .
I ventured out for a dinner party in my twill skirt and chunky sweater (since the weather was so cold) but keeping it fancy by wearing black heels and adding a statement necklace and a black purse.
I also wore this same skirt and sweater for a day out with friends but kept it casual by wearing some funky boots and a beanie.
But for my everyday kind of style I took the hint from Miss Molly (my granddaughter) . . .
and decided a sweatshirt and winterwhite jeans work just fine.
What a refreshing color to start the year off with.
Quite excited that Jill with everythingjustso and Adrienne with therichlifeonabudget chose winter white for their HIWM January edition. Go visit each of their blogs to see all the fun and creative ways to incorporate this color for the winter.
I’m also taking my beanie and joining Judith at the stylecrone for her monthly hat attack.

Well of course you do, they’re from our favorite hangout. By the way, have you been good this year or have you been doing any fun winter sale shopping at anthro lately?
Your winter white is beautiful in all of its transitions, from casual to dinner party. Your granddaughter is adorable! Thank you for sharing your headwear with Hat Attack. I was so happy to see your beautiful face pop up on my screen!
Thank you, sweet lady, I thoroughly enjoyed reading through your posts this morning as well.
Thanks for all the tips. I just bought a cream pair of skinny (of course) jeans. And I have a similar necklace like yours. With a bit more blue in it. I can copy you (partly) which I will shamelessly do.
Love the black shoes and love the boots. Clever to add black shoes and bag. I would have been searching for cream but this is much nicer. Question: aren’t you cold with just normal tights? Or are you wearing fleece lined tights? (Suzanne spoke of those.. very new to me.)
And my heart melts every time I see a photo of Molly. Gosh your heart must burst every time. As it is your flesh and blood.

Can’t wait to see your cream outfit post. I’ve been looking for quite some time for some new cream skinnies so I’m curious to see your new ones.
As for the tights, they are actually just fish nets that match the twill skirt almost to a tee, except with the booties and then my legs are just bare, it doesn’t seem to bother me because I don’t spend too long outdoors when wearing this. I’m not familiar with the fleece lined tights, but they sound wonderful.
As for the black shoes, I agree, it just seemed to work.
And yes, my heart both melts and burst every time I get to spend with this crazy little girl, she gets more fun at every stage. But then every time they drive away to go back home my heart breaks all over again.
I can imagine your heart breaking Trina. No highs without lows eh? As for my new cream skinny jeans… I just had to have them because there were so many things to combine them with…..Now that I have them, it is ??????.. with what were they going to be so good????
I am hopeless.
Lovely post today Trina! You and Miss Molly look adorable together!
Thank you Sue, Miss Molly seems to steal the show, but she seems to steal my heart as well.
Love all your winter white looks. I can’t believe Molly is getting so big – it’s so fun to watch her grow here. She’s got great style like her grandmother.

Trina,
Those lovely photos do set the mood for the gorgeous outfits that come.
I adore the color combo of winter white and blush! Your first outfit is my favorite because I am partial to dress up clothes to help combat the blah factor of winter! and i love those black strappy pumps and stunning necklace.
I do also very much like the other versions. If you follow Miss Molly, you can’t go wrong!
sending New years hugs, and Glad that I am seeing such happiness and beauty on your site, to start my New year right!
