In my last post I mentioned I wouldn’t be spending Thanksgiving in my traditional way. I just kind of left out I might be spending it the “Hawaiian Way”.
Trading in warm sweaters and cozy hats . . .
for bathing suits and sun hats . . .
I thought this was the perfect way to wear my kimono . . .
And magical sunsets . . .
And hiking Koko Head Stairs instead of hitting the gym . . .
(My legs may or may not be feeling the after affects of this hike)
And getting out of bed to watch the sun ascend from the horizon . . .
Watching those cute sea crabs . . .
And I never tire of seeing beach buckets getting ready for sandcastle making . . .
or the ever ending sound, smell, and sight of the Ocean breaking against the shore.
But to spend the weekend with my two boys was absolutely perfect.
Thank you to my best friend and hubby . . .
For letting us join our son and his college basketball team as they were here playing in a basketball tournament.
I’m joining Patti, for her visible Monday.
My dear, sweet friend … you look absolutely amazing … in every photo! I am so glad you got to spend time with your two fabulous boys!

It was a most fabulous little get away. And thank you kindly for the nice compliments.
This is sad but true…I lived on Oahu most of my life and have never hiked Koko Head! I think it will be on my list of things to do the next time I am home, I think my son is ready for this hike. Looks like you and a great getaway.

I can’t believe I missed her? I definitely needed to do some better planning.
How I love your head wrap and kimono! Those boys of yours look sweet, and the love in your family shows.
Thank you, I really didn’t know how I was going to ever wear this kimono and as a swim suit cover up just fit the bill.
Gosh your son is such a mix of you and your husband. Your eyes, his nose etc. Funny to see that.
Very envious pictures… We will continue here in our 32F environment..
No just joking. I don’t begrudge you this wonderful time. Quite the contrary.

No need to be envious, I am now home to the cold as well. My wonderful son always as the personality mix of the two of us as well.

You are also rocking that two piece suit, btw, someone has been diligent about exercise( and it is not me!)
Love the stripe suit, the gorgeous kimono dancing in the wind, and the happy faces of your handsome “boys”.
