*SUNFLOWERS
*PUMPKINS
*FRESH CRISP APPLES
*THE SCENT OF PUMKIN AND SPICE
*THE RICH COLORS OF NATURE
*NEW FALL FASHIONS
*INCORPORATING ALL THESE INTO MY HOME DECOR
When the first day of fall finally arrives, whether it feels crisp and cool outside, or if you’re having weather like us and it’s still in the high 80’s, I celebrate by getting my sunflowers out . . .
I’m still a sucker for the traditional orange, especially paired with my fun blue bench . . .
But I also love the look of the white and green pumpkins, so fresh and natural looking.
I mixed them together on my porch, along with a sunflower throw and pot . . .
And now my outside entrance is ready to welcome in this incredible season.
A fun tradition I enjoy on the first day of fall is to bake a bunch of pumpkin chocolate chip muffins . . .
place a few on fall paper plates . . .
wrap them in cellophane, make a homemade fall tag. . .
and then deliver to some friends.
It makes your kitchen smell just like fall and brings lots of smiles to others.
But if you don’t want to bake . . .
I found the most delicious new candle from bath and body . . . YUM!
As always my friends, thanks for dropping by. Have a wonderful Fall day!
Oh you’re so fabulous! Pumpkin chocolate chip muffins! Wow! Well, no baking for me … but I sure am looking forward to some fall weather! My fav time of year! And I love Halloween to boot!

Dawn, if baking isn’t your thing, you really should run out and purchase that candle, your home will smell as if you’ve been baking all day. And Halloween . . . Oh, I can’t wait to get those decorations out.
I always admire your decorating skills Trina! I love that you’ve already decorated for fall. I am hoping we will get our Halloween decorations up this weekend.

Alice, do share your fun Halloween decorations.
Lovely autumnal inspiration! And I have to admit, that I’m really in love with fall, too. Love the colors, gentle sun, food, new wine, … – Kisses from Vienna,

I am all for the candle. Or receiving your delicious (I am sure) baking product. Oceans apart… alas.
Wonderful to decorate your (outside) home with fall items. I neither have a bench, nor front porch, nor time. But I do enjoy your creativity.

Greetje, the candle is awesome, seriously it makes my home smell as if I;ve been baking all day. The only downfall . . . it also makes you grave some yummy treats.
I am always inspired by your posts Trina. I love the idea of baking for the new season, especially those muffins! I Love the way you decorated your porch. I would do the same, but the deer would have a feast and I would not get out of my front door. I will add a few squashes and pumpkins inside my city house, for the table!
That would be fun, and I will look out for that candle! Great tip. Enjoy this lovely, if changeable, season.

Ha, my cute daughter had her first experience this year with the beautiful, yet dreaded deer visiting her front porch flower garden. She will also be enjoying the smaller pumpkins indoors as well.
