Adrienne @therichlifeonabudget and Jill @everythingjustso really got me thinking about this when they decided for this month’s HIWM (how I wear my) would be sandals. I mean, we’re now heading into fall, which basically means . . . wardrobe transition time.
Although . . .
Putting on these black wedge sandals with this ensemble seemed to be just the right match.
And . . .
Strapping these gold heeled sandals with this outift was a no-brainer.
Or . . .
Even better when paired with my skinnies for a fun date night.
But . . .
When I slipped my feet into these . . .
my mind was made up.
My sandals are not ready for storing quite yet.
How do you feel about storing your sandals? Are you ready yet?
Click on over to Adrienne’s and Jill’s, it just might help you decide to leave yours out a bit longer.
And also head over to Patti’s for Visible Monday, great way to see some stylish women.
Nope, but the tmperatures are already below the freezing point and command it! 🙁
That dang Mother Nature up in your neck of the woods. I admire you for grinning and baring it.
Gosh… already Nicole?
Yes, it is always around the first week of September.
I am with you, my sandals are staying out until I have to put them away ( plus I think summer just arrived in Ottawa)
I think your right. Maybe I’ll just need to pay you a visit there.
I wear mine until there is snow on the ground. I would wear them all year if I could.
Me too.
Especially love that last pair. Who are the by? Thanks!
Brenda, those are Mephisto’s, very similar to birkenstock feel and sizing.
I wear sandals till it snows! We are enjoying warm summer weather here in Ontario.
Hey, it was lovely to be featured together on Fabulous After 40! Love your neon sandals (stilettos) worn with bright royal blue – fabulous!

Have a fashionable weekend,

You look so elegant and at ease in every outfit, beautiful. I give you ten out of ten. Love each outfit. Of course the black and white one is my favourite but that is because I adore black and white with an extra colour. That bag is stunning too.
And you have inspired me as I own a long cream shirt which I find a bit boring on jeans. Solution? Scarves! Of course, why didn’t I think of that? Plenty to choose from.
Sandals however do become rather chilly pretty quick. As soon as I have to put more layers at the top of my body, my feet start creaming for more warmth too.

I’m the same way when it comes to layering, I do love for my feet to stay warm also. Just hoping for an extra long Indian Summer, as we call it here.
Haha, I just saw I wrote creaming instead of screaming. You got my point though.
All such great looks! You’re so darn adorable in everything, Trina!

You are just so darn nice, thank you Dawn.
You look great in your sandal-outfits, Trina! I’ll be wearing mine through Sept. for sure, as it won’t dip below 80 degrees. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday, xox.
Loving the wedge ones and the last ones perfect for the early autumn days that still bring some warm days. Visiting from visible Mondays, Celia M. – High Heeled Life
You are so right, the last pair, I will definitely be wearing into the fall.
Oh well, living in northern Europe means summer is over by the end of September the latest, so bye bye sandals, till June… Although it was almost sandal weather today…
Tiina, by the end of September I will definitely have to store mine away until June as well.
All such great looks ! You look fantastic 🙂 x

Thank you Beata!
Really like the saffron skirt and the gorgeous scarf!! I hope you will come by and enter my $1000 gift card giveaway for shopping at a top clothing line.
Not ready for storing yet – temps still in the 90s here in Northern California. I did pack away my colorful summer skirts though.

My sandals are still out. It is 85 here still in Charlotte. I need to add more spring/summer dresses to my wardrobe for next year, I had alot of fall clothes coming from Pittsburgh when we moved. So, now I will try and transition. Love your sandals. Have a great week!

I adore sandals and pretty much wear them all year round. I really don’t like having my feet covered. You look great in each look. I especially like the first – the mustardy skirt with the stripe top is a perfect combo.
Yes … putting away the pastels and flimsiest, but some of the more substantial ones still work. I’m “fixing to get ready” to wear my fall shoes, but it’s not quite right for them just yet. Contenting myself with transitional shoes, so I get a bit of a fall feel.
Love all your examples, and you look so pretty in your photos … as always! You can always get me to notice shoes!
Trina, I am compromising, and keeping only peep toes, with a bootie like appearance.
The rest will stay in my closet, unless it gets really hot..
I have already worn my buckled boots with skirts and love that look, plus they are more comfortable, better padded, than most sandals I have.
But I hear you and if I were you, I would keep them on for a while…
have a wonderful week, what is left!

Thank you for the mention, Trina. You are so sweet. And thank you also for sending in your great photos for this month’s How I Wear My: Sandals.
It’s about 90 outside as I write this – pretty sure my sandals won’t go into storage for at least another month if not two! I must say, though. I am more than ready for some boot wearing!
