If you had asked me this question last year or even 6 months ago, my quick response would have been NO. But I purchased a midi length skirt for my trip this past fall to Europe, which proved to be one of my most versatile pieces. Then a few weeks ago I was sent a package from eshakti and inside was this full, high-waisted, flirty, and wonderful printed midi skirt for spring.
I was so pleased that the waist fits just where its supposed to fit (at the waist), and the fullness of this skirt just makes me want to dance around my yard.
I had a lot of fun shopping in my own closets to find different ways to assemble this new skirt.
(this will be a great everyday, easy to throw on ensemble with flats, although I’m thinking a new pair of fun ankle strap sandals might be in the making)
(this version just by trading the denim for a linen blouse and gold high heel sandals makes for a fun night on the town outfit)
(or for that fun beach day or lunch date with friends, I’m doing the pattern mixing, sandals, and sun hat)
With this beautiful palm tree print, it was the perfect attire to celebrate Earth Day.
So, my friends, I’m all ears, give me your suggestions as to how you would assemble this fun skirt.
A big thank you to eshakti for this wonderful gifted skirt.
(by the way eshakti is having a great sale right now and you can also receive another 10% off from now through Friday with this discount code ‘ttts’.)
The ever so creative and fun Anne over at spy girl is focusing on Earth Day this week, come and join me over there as well.
Oh, silly me. I totally forgot about palm trees! That’s a lovely skirt and you look great cavorting in it.
So glad its meets your earth day standards, (lol). There is the other bonus being 100% cotton and environmentally friendly, right?
That’s a great skirt, Trina – love the palm tree print and the swoosh-factor. xo
Yes, the swoosh factor is so much fun. Makes you feel so much younger for the day.
What a great print! I only have 1 midi skirt and love it and would love to have another one. They are very figure friendly. I love all the ways you have paired it.

Oh thank you. I do know that you would come up with some unique pattern mixing for this one.
Angie, of You Look Fab, classifies anything below the knee as midi, so I say yes, I will wear a midi skirt this year, but it won’t be much below my knee. You’ve covered the ways I would wear this skirt…stripes, and/or denim. Beautiful! I would be tempted to play around with booties too, although we’re all more than ready to bare our toes!
And I knew your arms were super toned and gorgeous! You look fabulous in your white T!
Funny you would mention booties, I had a bare of those toeless booties in my hand at nordstroms and then decided to be a good little girl and go home empty handed. I’m trying real hard to shop in my closet more often these days. But dang, they would be so cute with this (and a whole lot of other items).

This skirt looks great on you and you have styled it very well. I like all of your ensembles (is that a right word?) with a slight preference for the knotted linen blouse with the high heeled sandals. But….even though I am not much of a pattern mixing girl, I think I like the striped top with the fantastic red flat shoes best.
For me midi skirts are not the best. I am tall, which means my torso will be short and the skirt will be very long. Not my best proportions. It also prevents me from showing off my legs, which are my best part.
I used to wear midi skirts with linen high heeled boots. That was fine, but soooo long ago.

We are turning you into a pattern mixer, yeah! I do know what you mean about the length and with you legs I would just keep showing them off.
This skirt looks great on you and your styling options all work really well, I love the stripe and of course that wonderful floppy hat.Not sure if I will wear them again, still have a couple from last time around that I couldn,t part with , so maybe by next summer here.
When your next summer rolls around I do think you need to drag them out and give them a fresh make over. At least just for us.
I love midi skirts, and this is especially nice. It has a beautiful pattern and great volume. I like the looks you’ve prepared, especially with whites. Your red sandals are cute.
I kind of thought you would be a fan of the midi’s, due their feminine lovely touch.
The midi length looks beautiful on you, and as usual, your variety of combinations thrills me. Currently I’m loving full skirts, and you shine in this gorgeous skirt. Love the hat!
Truly made my day hearing those wonderful compliments from you, Judith. Thank you dearly. But lets talk about that full and O’ so lovely skirt you’re wearing in your latest post. Wow!!!!
You look beautiful in all the versions … my favorite is with the denim jacket! Well done as always my dear!
Thank you, dear friend, it’s always wonderful to hear from you.
