It’s Jill and Adrienne’s HIWM monthly get together today. This month they choose how I wear my boots. And, as we all know, boots of every kind have been showing up on everyone’s cute little feet this season. From riding boots, to over the knee boots, to high heel booties, to open toe booties and for me . . .
some down to earth cow(girl) boots.
For some reason whenever I pull these overly comfy fun cowgirl boots out of the closet, my creative juices get to flowing and I go on the closet hunt to find just the right combo to pair with these boots.
This one is my easy version of skinny jeans and a simple boyfriend sweater (accessorized with a scarf)
But my creative one is when I located my old geometric print pleated skirt. It was so easy to throw on a bright red turtle neck and denim jacket, then add on some bold turquoise jewelery. And, of course it just wasn’t complete without the cow(girl) hat.
That’s what you call ‘when one thing leads to another’.
My other version I shared was my ever sturdy go to riding boots. The one thing I love about these riding boots is that they can take me into this transitional winter-to-spring mode due to their multi color.
I’m really tempted to go try on some of those new open toe high heel booties that I’m seeing everywhere. Any of you tempted as well? Go check out all the fun boot ideas on Jill and Adrienne’s blogs today, it’s quite the party.

Trina, you’ve inspired me to play dress-up this morning! The cowboy boots really should be mine, don’t ya think? They are just too much fun! And I totally love them styled both with skinnies and the long skirt. I’ve never seen such a fabulous pair of riding boots either. One day you’ll have to share a photo of your shoe closet. Before I go, can I add that the hat is fabulous!!!

Sue, you’re right, they should be yours. Now for the photo of my shoe closet, now that would mean I would have to make it look all neat and proper, haha. But, you have sparked a fun idea.
Patti @ NotDeadYet Style says
Wow, you’ve got some fabulous footwear there, dear Trina!
trinagrandinetti says
Thank you Patti, living in a 4 season climate kind of helps build a shoe wardrobe.

Both pairs of boots are so FAB! Love your styling too!
trinagrandinetti says
Thank you, and it’s so good to hear from you again.
Suzanne says
Wow! Both pairs of your boots are making me drool all over my screen.
Those creamy blue ones are da bomb! But then you come out with those other insanely hip, English equestrian meets practical old school and all I can say is what size are your feet? Just in case, you know, you need to part with these babies soon. I might be able to take them off your hands.
bisous
Suzanne

I’m pretty sure we’re close to the same size so you just hang on the all those incredible vintage dresses and we’ll have to shop one another’s closets some day.

Very nice!!! You inspired me as well. Your cream cowboy boots are right up my alley. I like them best in your first outfit but that is because I am the conservative type when it comes to pattern mixing. I love everything about that first outfit (beautiful bag too by the way). The last outfit is also cool. Very unsual too in the nice sense I mean. As for open toe high heeled booties?? No.. As I said I am so conservative. I always admire these great shoe choices on others and never seem to dare to make the transition myself. Sometimes I think I am my worst enemy haha.
I had a shock today… One of my friends said for a laugh .. If you have posted 150 times with at least one outfit per post and you take an average of € x per outfit…..do the maths.. Oh my goodness. What a shock.

Oh, I’m not even going to get the calculator working, the shock would either depress me or give me a really good laugh.
And, you are not your worst enemy, you definitely know your style and it shows with your confidence, I mean, come on you pulled off a hair tie and made it look fabulous.
nofearoffashion says
What is a hair tie??
trinagrandinetti says
Your hair tie you spoke about on Sylvia’s site.
nofearoffashion says
I am totally lost. No idea what you are talking about.

Hi Trina, I loved both your outfits in this post but I was especially partial to the one with striped shirt, it is right up my alley. Thank you for joining Adrienne and me for “How I Wear My: Boots” and thank you for the mention! XO, Jill

Jill, your monthly get together’s are so much fun.

Both pairs of boots are super. The white cowboy boot has spectacular detail and the riding boots are in a great color. Also love the small bag with the first outfit, unique. I like how you are mixing comfortable outfits with a fabulous shoe!

Trina – you have the best collection of shoes. If you ever want to part with any of them – let me know. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we are the same size 🙂
Always love your creativity in putting outfits together. I own a couple pair of high heel booties and love them. They work so well with dress and pants and so perfect for spring.

Oh Alice, please do show and tale about your high heel booties. Since we don’t grow out of shoes its an awful awful habit to be a collector of (lol).

You must have so much fun playing in your closet. What wonderful clothes and boots you have. I have a very spare (mostly black) closet and am so jealous! I never see such wonderful items in the stores though. I bet many of your clothes and shoes have been part of your wardrobe for a while.
trinagrandinetti says
You’re absolutely correct many of my items have been part of my wardrobe for a while, since I don’t really grow out of them, I try to shop for classic styles that will say Trina to me but stay in fashion for a long period of time.

Fabulous you as always! The cowgirl look is great, but I can’t tell you how much I love your space-boots. They don’t read equestrian to me, but they sure do read Han Solo, the ultimate space cowboy. You do space-cowgirl really, really well. Yowza!
trinagrandinetti says
Love it! Space-cowgirl, I’ll take that, sounds like a fun ride to me.
