FOR ONE DAY OF THE YEAR I BECOME A WITCH
ALTHOUGH EACH YEAR A DIFFERENT SORT OF WITCH APPEARS . . .
THIS YEAR THE VINTAGE WITCH CAME OUT TO PLAY . . .
(Now, my friends, I don’t go to much trouble making the witch arrive. I simply go through my closet and see what I come up with. Like a lacy black skirt, a dressy black blouse, a white corset I died black, some old pointy booties, and some funky tights. Pull it all together with a pointy hat and da da . . . a witch emerges.)
NOW TO CAST SOME SPELLS AND CALL MY WITCHY FRIENDS OVER FOR OUR ANNUAL WITCHES TEA.
This year I decided to go with Shakespeare’s Line from Mabeth
“Something Wicked this Way Comes” and “The Witching Hour”
A PEEK AT THE WITCHES TABLE
EACH WITCH WAS GIVEN HER OWN ‘WITCHING HOUR CLOCK’ (as a party favor) WHICH WAS PLACED AS PART OF THE PLACE SETTING.
NAME TAGS WERE ON INDIVIDUAL PICTURE FRAMES.
THE HUTCH WAS READY FOR THE EVENING AS WELL WITH CLOCKS AND POTIONS
A FEW OF MY OTHER WITCHY DISPLAYS
THE MENU FOR THE EVENING
I HUNG A WITCH LACE CLOTH FROM THE CEILING FOR A LITTLE ADDED TOUCH
SOME OF MY INCREDIBLE WITCHY FRIENDS
AS WE SAT AROUND THE TABLE WE REALIZED THAT THE WITCHES IN MACBETH WERE MUCH MORE POWERFUL WHEN THEY WORKED TOGETHER TO CAST THIER SPELL. AND AS WE EACH TOOK A TURN CASTING A SPELL, IT WAS EVIDENT THAT TOGETHER AS FRIENDS WE COULD BASICALLY TURN MOUNTAINS. NOW THAT IS WHAT I CALL MAGIC ! ! !
Linking up with Jann for her share your cup Thursday
I also couldn’t resist linking up with Anne over at Spy Girl for her 52-weelk-pick me up, the theme this week is black.
I’m linking with Mis Papelicos share in style Halloween since its closes in a few minutes. Come on back tomorrow to see this years witches tea.
Oh my!! You are truly amazing. What lucky women to have you as their friend. What a dear you are. It looks like so much fun and yummy too.
Lenice, you are too kind and believe me, I’m the lucky one to have them as my friends.
Trina, taditionally we do not have Halloween here in Germany. 1 Nov is a contemplative religious remembrance day in the catholic region where I live and therefore many older people are very reluctant towards Halloween.
However, your outfit and your table decoration are awesome! You are a very charming witch.
The table setting is stunning and stylish – usually I see a lot of orange, spiders and blood but you turned it into a magical space. Absolutely love it!
I bet you had a fantastic evening…
Annette | Lady of Style
I’m not one who cares for the traditional orange, spiders and blood so O’m glad you enjoyed my spin on this Holiday.
My God, that more sophisticated and sexy witch. I’ve never seen a witch so elegant with these beautiful accessories and a dress so so so spectacularly beautiful. Lovely simply lovely. The decor is fantastic.
Thank you kindly Joseph-Maria, an elegant witch is so much better than a ugly, mean witch, right?
OOh I love your witching outfit! Your tablescape is fabulous- love each detail especially that witch in the center! Very creative- love it!
Why thank you kindly, Liz and thanks so much for dropping by today.
Your teas look like the best times ever. All the work you do on your table and decorating is fantastic! I would love to attend one of these. Your friends are so lucky.
You look great as a witch : ) I’ve never been one and I need to remember this for next year. The striped tights are the best.
bisous
Suzanne
Suzanne, I would absolutely love for you to attend one of my tea parties. Just let me know which one you could book a flight out here for. I also look forward to seeing you as a witch next year.
I simply adore those clock give aways, I would love to know where you got them, they are perfect for a project I am thinking of…Please email me to come on over to my post and let me know, I will love you forever…now back to that most incredible table, wow I love and each and every perfect creative detail…it is just over the top and so scary and fun…I also love that wonderful witch hanging, wow who would have thought of that, most would just put it on a table, love the whole effect…and you look adorable in that fab costume…love all of it…
Phyllis, thank you for dropping by today. Let me know if you didn’t receive my email response to you concerning the clocks.

Alice, of course you can come to one of my parties, I would love to have you.
Trina, you are fabulous, and it’s so good to have you home again! You indeed worked magic with this tea party. The tablescape is fantastic! Oh, all so well executed…and you look adorable as a witch…a good witch for sure!
Sue, it’s wonderful to be back home again. Thank you kindly for all the compliments, I not so sure about the ‘good’ witch all the time but I ust keep on trying.
So fortunate to have been invited to this fabulous party, as always you out did yourself. You are such a perfectionist and never cease to amaze me. Love you my sweet daughter and so happy you are back home.
So fortunate to have you as my mother witch.
And when I think you and I are alike, you throw a diner party….and we are different. I hate organizing parties, I cannot cook and I don’t have time. I don’t even like going to parties. (They are usually quite boring.) But boy, would I come to your parties!! So, so beautiful. The lay-out, the details, the warm-heartiness. I love your entourage. And in that setting, having your friends around. Perfect.
Like you being dressed up as witch. Also perfect. Every detail, with special attention to the tights haha. How did you come up with that? Lovely spider too. And you must be a bad, bad witch when you are this black. LOL
Greetje
Also, lots of compliments from my husband. He thinks it is exceptional. Said it was really, really awesome and fun. Not many people get such praise from him I can tell you.
Tell hubby, I feel very honored to have received his compliments.
Greetje, the best kind of friends are those that embrace one another’s differences, that’s why we could be the best of friends. And, believe me, you would have a lot of fun at one of my parties, they’re anything but boring, haha.
As for the purple stripe tights, I actually spotted them when I wasn’t on the hunt and just knew they would go perfectly with this year’s witches attire.
Great finds happen a lot when you are not looking. You have the imagination to spot these things, knowing how to use them.
You do it up right!!! Just fabulous, and I’m inspired to really make an effort for my next gathering. I love your outfit, especially the striped hose and pointy shoes. XXOO
Thank you Jean, and that’s half the reason we share our blogging journals, to give a little inspiration here and there, right?
Wow! You put so much effort into this! The costume is amazing but that table setting made my jaw drop! It’s something I’d expect to see in some fancy interior decorating magazine. It’s spectacular!
Thank you so much Kristina, the effort is all worth it in the end.
What a great idea! Esp. the names tags in frames ~
The black and purple striped socks – my fav.

Your Witches Tea looked AMAZING! Thanks for linking up.
Trina !!!!!! This is the most creative Halloween celebration I have ever seen! You are a bit scary, but mostly beautiful underneath your pointy hat–you do not have me fooled, dear one. I also love the stripe socks!

Ha, thank you Elle. I do have a difficult time carrying on a scary theme.
Trina my friend, you outdid yourself this year! Love your attire and the fab theme! I love clocks and the witching hour is always so fun. Great table and I love their clock face favor! Thanks so much for sharing with SYC. I will be featuring you this week.
hugs,
Jann
Well, you are such a sweet heart, dear Jann. Thank you so much for the feature this week, I feel truly honored and thrilled.
all so beautiful
This is lovely! Can’t get over all the little details you put into this! Do you mind sharing where you got the clocks at, can’t find anything like those…
I purchased the clocks at my local Tai Pan trading. I believe they have an online store and I was just in last week and noticed they still carry them. Hope this helps you.
Trina, a truly stunning witch , you are. Your celebration looks fantastic but what would I expect with your eye for every little detail. Enjoy the day with your oh so lucky friends.
I cannot think of a better outfit and event, dear Trina. Thank you soooooooooooo much for being part of the Share-in-Style family.
Could you please revisit Share-in-Style and VOTE for your favourite look. Voting open until tonight. Thanks a lot.
