LIFE IS FULL OF TRANSITIONS . . .
IT MAY BE
WITH AGING . . . or
WITH SEASONS . . . or
WITH FASHIONS .
AS WE TRANSITION THROUGH LIFE WE WILL
FACE GREAT CHALLENGES . . . and
ALSO GREAT OPPORTUNITIES . . .
ONE OF WHICH IS THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ALL WE CAN WHILE ON THIS EARTH
LEARNING . . .
has no limits . .
to age . . .
to creativity. . .
to nationality . . .
it is boundless in its opportunity . . .
IN MY 50 YEARS OF “TRANSITIONING” I’VE TRIED TO LEARN AT LEAST ONE NEW THING DAILY
IT MAY BE SIMPLE, SILLY, CRAZY, SERIOUS, OR PROFOUND . . .
THIS WEEK I TRANSITIONED A BLOUSE FROM SUMMER TO FALL
wearing it with the summer maxi and booties instead of sandals
being a school-girl at heart by layering it with a red cardigan, skinny jeans and messenger bag
then taking it for a walk in the gardens with another summer skirt and leopard shoes and acorn necklace
THE BEST TRANSITION RECENTLY IS GAINING THE TITLE OF GRANDMA AND SHARING ALL THIS WITH MOLLY.
SO . . .
My message today for all, no matter what stage you are in is . . .
TO LEARN ALL YOU CAN DAILY,
IT WILL OPEN MANY, MANY DOORS . . .
ALONG LIVES JOURNEY.
AND TO MOLLY . . .
MAY YOU LEARN TO USE THESE BEAUTIFUL LITTLE HANDS
AND YOUR SWEET LITTLE MIND
TO BE AN INFLUENCE FOR GOOD . . .
AMONG ALL YOU COME IN CONTACT WITH
AS YOU TRANSITION THROUGH YOUR LIFE.
As always my friends, thanks for dropping by. Have a wonderful day.
Linking up with Elena for her fun Monday Bloom
and with Lauren at for her weekly style session

Thank you Sue, this role of grandma is love at the highest degree. I’m having such a difficult time knowing I have to go back home in a few days.

This is beautiful Trina! Congratulations to you and your family. I can feel how special this is for you by the beautiful and expansive ideas in this post. I’ve always thought if you learn one thing a day, in a life time you will be wise. Your blouse has a golden quality and you have shown us many lovely outfits.

Thank you Ann, and you’re so right, it’s a very special time in my life. As for being wise, I totally agree, (although I haven’t reached that yet), but trying to at least achieve this goal is a good idea for me.
Happiness at Mid Life says
Congrats Trina on the great title of Grandma! I love how you made the top look so different in all 3 looks!

Thank you Dear Friend, you just wait until you inherit this role someday, you will make the perfect grandma.

I love your blouse is beautiful, and I love the message of your post, positive and beautiful. The outfit that I like is the long skirt is very pretty. But your youthful style with jeans and a red cardigan, I also think it’s great. Your photo, reading, is lovely.
trinagrandinetti says
Thank you Josep-Maria, I too enjoy the youthful style, especially after becoming a grandmother.

Isn’t she, though (sweet). And, such a happy and good little baby.

Love everything outfit-wise apart from the striped skirt. Love all the shoes. But above all, love Molly. What a picture perfect!! How big she already is…and that flower in her hair, how adorable. I am crazy over babies. Until they are about 4 year haha.

And your hair is growing long.
trinagrandinetti says
Isn’t she just the best? Boy, I already sound like the proud grandma. Wish you could be here in person to hold this sweet bundle of joy, she is such a good little baby. And, quite fun to get dressed for the day. I must send you a picture of this little girls closet, it’s crazy. Yea, that 4year old stage is kind of a nightmare. I have to go back home this Friday and it’s going to be so dang hard leaving her.

Which means your daughter does not live in the same town as you?
trinagrandinetti says
That’s what it means. My daughter and her husband are living in Omaha, Nebraska for three more years as he finishes dental school at Creighton University. It’s a 14 hour drive by car but only a 2 hour plane flight. I don’t much like it, but it’s a great place for them to be at this time in their lives. I just do a lot of face timing and traveling.
No fear of fashion says
Are they coming back after those three months? Or is that still uncertain, depending on his job opportunities?
I can imagine you want to see as much as possible of Molly.
My mother was so distressed when my brother moved from living next door to the east of the country (only 2 hours drive, but a bit more by train, so next door to an American I presume). His son was 1 years old, so my mother really lost touch with her grandchild (and the other two grandchildren that were born). Did she cry…

It’s actually 3 years but they are planning on coming home after he finishes. They both love Salt Lake City, Utah and really hope to raise their kids among family. We’ll just make the best of this situation for these next 3 years, that’s all you can do, right?

I am ordering new reading glasses..

What a delicious post, our Trina! Lovely you, baby … and the acorn necklace just drives me wild with … appreciation! I love acorns. Beautiful symbol for the link between the two of you. You look wonderful, especially in the tribal print.
I had a book I wanted to recommend to you … but the sheer adorableness of your post just drove the title from my head. Drat. I’ll write when I think of it.
trinagrandinetti says
Jan, I’m an acorn lover too, so when I saw this necklace last year, I just couldn’t resist. I find myself wearing it daily. (I’ll be on the look out for another one for you). My other weakness is owls, maybe because I think the more I have, the wiser I may become, haha.
I’m so needing a new book while I’m here with Molly Doll, so I hope it comes back to your fun mind.
The Style Crone says
Congratulations! Molly is in very good hands!
You make transitions beautiful, in your artistic and creative outfits, with unexpected and enthralling combinations. Recently I’ve decided to do one thing a day that makes me feel a little bit afraid. I like it! I pushes me to experiment with the ‘new.’
trinagrandinetti says
What a wonderful idea, Judith, of doing something that makes you a bit afraid. I just might adopt that theory also.

Love your post my sweet daughter. So thrilled that Dad and I were able to be there for the
first couple of days, and to surprise all of you made it extra special. Now my life has transitioned into being GG and I love it!! How very fortunate your Dad and I have been for the past 52 years to see all the changes that have come our way. We are truly blessed with this amazing family of ours. WE ARE NOW UP TO 20!!
