When I see gingham on a summer day the only thing that comes to my mind is PICNIC time.
An old fashion- simple-blanket-on-the-lawn Picnic
So I donned my gingham sunglasses and shirt and went to work preparing an old fashion picnic
Oriental Pasta Salad (separated into mason jars for serving)
Fresh cut watermellon (also put into mason a jars for individual serving)
A freshly baked Baguette
Ice cold cream soda’s
Homemade root beer cookie (easier to transport than ice cream floats)
Blanket, basket, and utensils, and fresh flower (just for looks)
And, off you go . . . .
Remember you don’t have to travel far. . .
a near by park or even your own backyard.
It’s just supposed to be an old fashion, simple, fun picnic to
E N J O Y !
P.S. I thoroughly enjoy picnics, so I would love to hear and see some of your ideas and recipes throughout this summer season. I would be happy to post picnic Ideas every Wednesday if some of you want to participate.
*Note: as you can see, I tried to keep my picnic as enviromentally friendly as possible.
As always, thank you for dropping by. Have a wonderful day (hopefully picnicking in a near by park).
Linking up with Jann for share your cup Thursday for some other fun ideas.
