Is it just me or are you noticing POPS of orange here and there and well, basically everywhere?
I certaintly didn’t want to be left out, so my old rod iron bistro became . . .
ORANGE
Does it POP or what? I think it says, “Hey I’m a lot of fun, come and join my for lunch.”
I’ve also noticed quite a few of my blogger friends joining in on this fun. You should check out Sue at a colourful canvas, she really made me smile with her orange and navy combination. And then there’s Jann at Fort Smith Stylista who reminded us how opposites attract with her version of orange and navy.
So once again, I didn’t want to be left out of the party. Here’s a few of my ‘Pops” of orange with navy.
(picked up this adorable toucan necklace at an antique store last week in Omaha)
If it’s not a skirt kind of day, wear pants instead.
Any way you see it, ‘Pops’ of orange is quite delightful so I really don’t mind seeing it everywhere I turn.
Have you added some ‘Pops’ of orange to your life lately?
Thanks for dropping by, go have a wonderful day.
I’m linking up with Patti and the gals for Visible Monday
Although the post talks about the color orange, I mean, first, that I love your skirt and your pants polka dots. The two shirts, orange and striped, are very nice and are perfect in looks. I love your scarf and your hat, both very nice. Your lips also are orange?
You are so observant, yes, my lips are also orange (Mac lipstick). What do you think of orange lips?
I like the color of your lips, I think it is perfect.
Hi Trina, Thanks so much for the shout-out! And tell me dear friend….when did you move to Paris? You are looking ever so chic in your navy and orange outfits; both of them! Now, I have to go style my polka dot jeans with orange.
Love, love your bistro set! Isn’t it fun playing with paint!!!
Sue xo
Haha Sue, Paris? That’s still on my wish list. I’m seriously thinking of a trip there towards the end of September, would you care to join me? I have never been before and it’s the next fun place on my check off list.
That toucan necklace is adorable!
I also love how you’ve mixed the patterns. Orange and blue are one of my favourite combos and it looks great on you.
bisous
Suzanne
Thank you Suzanne, do you have a fun post on this combo?
Oh your bistro set does just say FUN! Love your stylish and colorful combos! The last photo of you os remarkable… gorgeous, fun loving and oh so chic!!
Thank you, sweet lady. You should come and join me for tea at the fun bistro.
Lovely… everything. I can imagine you with a paint brush going at the table and chairs. Well done. So nice and bright. (Were they yellow the last time I saw them?)
Today I was trying on bright green skinnies by Hugo Boss to match with my new navy jacket. Then I told myself off. I have enough clothes and enough trousers. Couldn’t I match it with my orange skinnies? Your article just put an “approved” stamp on it. LOL
I have quite a bit of orange stuff. I like orange.
Adore your orange sweater. And your polka dot skirt and trousers. Dressed like this, you are ready to celebrate Kings Day next year at the end of April.
Yay, can’t wait to see your navy with the orange skinnies. I bet those orange skinnies look awesome on you. Do I have to be Dutch to come and celebrate King’s Day with you?
The little bistro table was the original green rod iron before I painted it orange. (now you know why I spend a great deal of time in my gym shorts and tee shirts, haha).
Love this post! Everything here screams happiness – your lovely outfits, the bistro chairs. That’s the magic of orange. It’s a mood lifter! Oh, and I added a couple of new orange pieces to my wardrobe this year as well. I’m still waiting for the weather to warm up a bit more to start pulling them out.
Kristina, I look forward to seeing your pops of orange, make sure and let me know when you post them.
Trina, it’s funny, but the orange thing is contagious! I was rooting around though my vintage loot today and found an orange handbag I’m planning to carry to church tomorrow. LOVE the orange and navy combo. When I was a kid, my aunt had a room done with splashes of orange and I remember what a happy room it was! You always look splendid.
Thank you Crystal. Would love to get a peek at your vintage orange handbag. Splashes of orange in a room would be so delightful, I need to try that.
The first time I wore orange is about half a year ago. I discovered that it immensely brightens up my skintone, no matter if I am pale of tanned. Ever since I love it.
It looks fabulous on you, Trina! I love all your outfits and photos but particularly the last one. Your smile is simply gorgeous!
I never realized that part of orange (brightening up the skin tone) but you’re absolutely right. Wow, what a bonus, skin tone and mood brightener all in one.
really nice pictures!!!
I am so attracted to orange this season too! You look wonderful, and I love your toucan necklace. Thanks for sharing it all with Visible Monday.
I avoid that shade of orange because it looks terrible on me – and is the official color of University of Vanderbilt sports LOL. I would definitely wear that scarf in a heartbeat, though, and on you the orange is just right for a vibrant summer look 😉
Spashionista (Alicia)
Glad to know you’re still liking the scarf, you are going to get hooked by wearing them, my friend.
I love your orange outfit. Orange is not a good color for me, but I could do the coffee table version. Indeed very welcoming! Have a great week my friend!
Thank you, hope you have a great week also.
I cannot believe I have not been here to say “Thank You” for the plug! So sweet of you, and you have rocked this look, especially with your polk-dot pants. (Just say “polka dot pants” and see if it doesn’t make you smile!)
You’re adorable as always.
J
If I helped you smile, it was all worth it. Although, for some reason you seem like a gal who always smiles.
I don’t think I own anything that’s orange but that’s about to change!! You are fabulous in your navy and orange outfits, with polka dots and stripes creating a juicy mixture. I also ADORE your wrought iron bistro set. I may have to copy that too. 🙂
I think you should definitely do some copying, everytime I take my morning cup of tea outside to my orange bistro, I leave in a happy, happy mood.
I’m quickly becomming a fan of navy and orange (after being turned off of them as my high school colors)! Your look is fresh and fun! Also, I love wrought iron and I love orange…’nuff said!
Maybe you should just come and join me at the bistro for lunch. (isn’t it amazing what school colors can do to our memories?)
Orange is one of my favorite colors and has been for a long time. You are gorgeous in your ‘pops’ of orange! Love the bistro set.
You do seem like the fun kind of lady to wear orange. It definitely suits you.
