When you combine ocean air, a bit of sun shine, and family all together, I call that a perfect weekend. That’s exactly what I had this past weekend. So glad I was able to capture some on camera for lasting memories.
We spent a few days on the Oregon coast visiting our son. It was actually a trip to watch him play his last home basketball game at the college he has been attending.
He was quite excited to show his sister and brother-in-law his neighborhood. (Can you see why he doesn’t really miss home?)
As you can see I was definitely dressed for practical over fashion for the weekend, although, I did brighten things up with the fuscia pants. I’ve learned it’s best to take my rain boots for these trips, they keep my feet warm, they save my other shoes from being damaged and they are perfect for shopping (which Tori and I were able to do on Thursday in downtown Portland, but that’s for a whole other posts) or walking on the beach.
At this time of year, you get that chill in the air so this jacket has been a lifesaver. I can literally stuff it in my tote bag when I’m not wearing it and throw it on whenever the chill picks up.
Thank you Riley for showing us around again.
P.S. Woke up this morning to a phone call informing me he made 1st Team All-Conference and has been invited to play in the All-Star Game. (Love being his mom).
Congratulations to your son! Well done.
One of my very favourite places is Cannon Beach. Looking at these photos makes me want to return there soon. Ah, the sound of that amazing surf. We don’t get that here; our waters are too protected.
Sue, I don’t get that at all here in Utah, just snow and mountain, that’s why its fun to visit. Thanks for dropping by today.
Awww…I call this a perfect weekend, too! You should be so proud!
You look pretty hot in pink, imo!
Hubby wants to visit Oregon one of these days, and I can see why…what a beautiful place!
Definitely take your hubby up for the offer to Oregon, the two of you would love it.
I’m missing a lot of your posts right now, Trina … but I’m reading even if I don’t comment! Glad to see you had fun … how nice that you and your kiddles are close! Is that you and your husband in the gym-pic?
Have a great week! Thanks again for your inspiring blog, T. Don’t stop.

Thanks for the encouragement, isn’t it terrible when we have to put cleaning the house, work and other projects before blogging? Seriously, where is my priorities, right? Yes, that is my husband by me in the gym-pic.
What a lovely trip! I have never been to Oregon, but you have whet my appetite. And girl, can I just say those fushia pants are JUST YOU! Love ’em!
Thank you Crystal, sometimes I’m tempted to hand them over to my daughter, but they seem to keep me young at heart.
And I love being the grandma and mom to this amazing family!!
We love having you as grandma and mom.
What a lovely warm family report. Congratulations with your son. Lovely fuscia trousers. Lovely bum too Trina. SMILEY
Haha, Greetja, I seriously wondered why I posted that picture. I most definitely do not have the tiny cute bum that you do.
That is funny. I much prefer yours. I regard mine as a scrawny thing. Not feminine at all.
