I created my first fairy garden two years ago (here) with Molly in mind. I was hoping it would be a fun little space for (back then a 20 month year old) to enjoy and play make believe while visiting grandma. Little did I know then that this little girl would be one with a mind full of imagination and creativity. Her imagination is beyond wonderful.
And the best part . . . she allows grandma into this imaginary world with her. We travel to all kinds of fairy lands and magical gardens and princess castles and whatever her little mind comes up with for the day.
Last year when Molly moved back to Utah we added on to our fairy garden, since she seriously spends countless hours playing out here. Last week I took her shopping to pick out a Mother’s Day gift for her to give her mommie. She wanted to make her a fairy garden. So I let her pick out all the items that she thought her mom would like.
This is the garden she came up with.
And she carefully introduced and took her mom into this wonderful picnic land of fairies.
*we also bought some new items for our garden here so that’s what we’re busy doing this afternoon . . . can’t wait to show you what land we create this year
As always my friends, thanks for dropping by. Have a wonderful day.
