Before I tell you more about this unique necklace that’s traveling the country, I want to give you a little insight of the creators behind the jewelry company known as KayandStar. It’s a mother-daughter company who began making necklaces and then bracelets as a way to stay connected to one another and a healing process all in one. I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting both Julie and Jordan last October when they asked my daughter and me to participate in a photo shoot with them. What began as four strangers coming together one afternoon has turned into a wonderful friendship. I always look forward to the phone calls from Julie letting me know she’s coming to my home town and when can we meet for lunch.
Oh the joys of IG and blogging when they bring real life friendships.
With that being said, when Julie approached me with her fun idea about having one of her necklaces travel around the country to different women and seeing how they would style it, of course I wanted to participate.
This is the necklace known as “ladies of the traveling necklace”. I chose to style it will a soft sea foam pastel color maxi dress (which I tied in the front). I’m also wearing it hung low since I wanted to give it the full attention it deserved.
I’ve enjoyed seeing the unique ways this necklace has already been styled. You can find a gallery by clicking on #ladiesofthertravelingnecklace on IG. It’s now on it’s way to Barb @southernblondchic, can’t wait to see how she styles it.

What a fun idea. It reminds me of the yellow travelling skirt from Melanie. This necklace seems very easy to style. I love it on this dress. Great styling with that knot in the dress..
