Do you ever have those days when you look out the window and its just ugly cold,
and the only thing you want to do is stay inside in the warmth of your home, in cozy sweats or (pj’s) cuddled next to a fire with a good book? Yea, me too! But on Sundays, come rain or shine or snow or sleet, I put on my “Sunday Best” and head to church.
On these super cold winter days when you know the roads and sidewalks are not only snowy but slippery as well, it takes some serious planning on what to wear.
I’m not about to put on heels (especially with no treads) and it’s always a good idea to dress in layers since you have no idea how much heat will be on or off in a building.
Therefore today called for OTK boots (with treads), a furry bomber jacket, and gloves. Believe me, I would gladly welcome a pair of black ear muffs.
Just making the best of a cold winter day and truly grateful for a warm home, a warm church building, and the warmth of friendship I find there, especially my knew teenager’s I have the privilege of teaching each week they are the best!
Hope the cold days of winter are finding you safe and warm my friends.

🙂 I like your skit – a nice pop of color with the contrasting black.
When I looked out of the window this morning it was WHITE outside 😉
Have a very HAPPY week! 🙂

Ha… this looks far too sophisticated and cold to do you story justice. If it is that cold I would always wear a long (preferably thick) coat over my skirt. And those beautiful suede boots in the snow??? Never. Mountain boots or snow boots and these lovely grey ones in a bag to change when I have arrived.
