We missed you all in December since we took a break during that crazy month, but it’s time to get back to being refined.
And remember being refined comes in many many different forms and styles (well at least it does in my book).
If you’ve been following my blog for a while you know I live in Northern Utah which means we have four distinct seasons and right now we’re in the thick of winter. And let me tell you, we’re having a white winter here. It seems like I wake up to a new blanket of snow every morning, which by the way, is a bit over rated especially when you’re the one who has to do the shoveling and or snow blowing (remember hubby had back surgery). Since I’ve lived here all my life I’m quite use to the winter months so they don’t bother me, I just go along with it and have a bit of fun as well.
One of my favorite ways to dress for a day out in winter is to throw on a dress and pair it with funky boots and a chunky sweater.
The juxtapositon is just fun and it’s totally a me style.
This time I took my new slip dress (anthropologie and on sale my friends) and wore it over a turtleneck (banana republic) and then paired it with a chunky cardigan. Now I don’t need to worry about a big coat.
And seriously wearing a pair of opaque tights is just as warm as wearing pants and makes pairing it with combat boots perfect.
Throw on a nice warm hat and the winter weather is no problem at all.
We would love to see what you have up your sleeve for your refined style in January so join in our party.
