Am I the only one who gets totally inspired by a fun print?
Last year I was on a flamingo trend, this year it seems to be pineapples, which is just fine by me since they do represent hospitality, right?
I spotted this print at Ann Taylor and walked away several times before I just couldn’t stop thinking about it (you know how that thought process goes).
I knew this little number could be paired with several different prints and styles of shirts and shoes to give it some fun twist for the summer.
This time around I paired it with a nautical style pull over, tucking it in to play off the high waisted look of the skirt.
Since I was spending the day exploring San Diego comfy flat sandals were a must.
I also threw in a straw fedora for the hot afternoon,
and a denim jacket for the evening.
Now all I needed was a refreshing pineapple drink.
I’m really looking forward to styling this number in a variety of ways.
Also thinking it would be a perfect ensemble for a Pineapple theme tea party . . . what do you think?
Thanks for dropping by my friends. Have a wonderful weekend!

Cute and fun skirt and well styled. The thing I love about long skirts and dresses is that flat shoes look better with them than with shorter skirts. Well on me they do. Haven’t got many long ones, but that can be corrected haha.
The nautical shirt loks very good on the skirt as does the necklace. The breast pocket is a nice detail, mirroring the pineapples.

PS, I am sure you are going to have a pineapple party.

I agree about flats looking good with long skirts and I don’t own too many (long skirts myself). As for you, yes, I’m sure that can be corrected in a hurry (haha).
But seriously, wouldn’t a pineapple theme party just be the best? I even saw the cutest pineapple candles today and just think of all the great food to make with pineapples . . . Oh, these crazy notions of idea I get in my head.

Mmm, pineapple martinis, yes! I remember your fondness for flamingos and now love this adorable skirt. The yellow is lovely on you and sweet with the cool Fedora. I’m looking into one of those giant flamingo rafts for the pool. Fun look!!

You won’t regret the flamingo raft, thats for sure. I actually just pumped mine back up for the season. Although my son just sent me a link to a pineapple one (haha).

Awwww Trina, that Pineapple Maxi Skirt is gorgeous. My closet and I need it ASAP. I love it with that classic striped Breton Tee. Nice styling with that chic Navy Fedora, too.

Beautiful print! I, too, am so persuaded by a beautiful print, even if the item of clothing doesn’t suit me I am very tempted. I find I can put my print love into tablecloths which always fit a table!

Oh, I’m so happy to hear I’m not the only one who has used my love of prints to decorate my table with. I need to pull up you site right this minute to see what you have shared. Have you posted any of your table decors?
