I don’t know about you, but I so ready for the weekend. The days where you pull out those boyfriend jeans and anything fun to go along with them. This season it seems we (meaning, me and everywhere you look) can’t get enough of stripes.
So I’m happy to play along with striping it. I decided to pattern play a bit by adding a linen plaid scarf instead of wearing a necklace.
Yes, with boyfriend jeans I usually give it the juxtaposition of wearing heels.
And since it’s still chilly in the mornings and evenings, I’m taking along my utility jacket. By the way, don’t you just love these jackets? They are the most versatile and fun jackets ever. I’m so glad I finally gave in and joined the crowd. Have you succumbed in purchasing one?
Oh, and if you’re wondering, it’s perfectly normal for women over 50 to still wear boyfriend jeans, or maybe I’m just no normal, haha.
Thanks for dropping by my friends, have a wonderful weekend!

…Thankfully…age is not a factor…in fashion…it’s about who you are and what feels good on your body!…clearly styling is involved and you pull it off perfectly…..from one 67 year old who will not age in frump mode!…

I just love this outfit. It’s so “me”. Did you get it at the actual JCrew or an outlet?
Trina says
Lenice, I bought it at the actual jcrew but I saw one at the outlet over the weekend that is very similar and much better price.

Perfect look Trina!! I love wearing my boyfriend jeans every weekend but rarely wear it with heels since it’s more practical to run around in flats.

I recently wore something very similar. Great minds!
Love the mix of stripes with that scarf and the utility jacket is a perfect layering piece. ( I love all of the pockets, too!)

No Fear of Fashion says
Here I am, sitting in my boyfriend jeans, wearing high heels and a striped sweater hahaha. What are the odds of that? Mind you my stripes are red and so are my shoes. But my shoes are patent leather too, like yours. We are somewhat alike, aren’t we? We found that out long ago.
Now a serious note: the email warnings of your new blog post has gone on the blink again. I was getting suspicious that you were not posting, so I decided to take a peep… and I am way behind. Rats. It also happened with the blog of Judith The Style Crone.
