Are you a gift giver?
Meaning, are you one who enjoys giving little gifts to your friends and family members for birthdays and sometimes just to say you care?
I just happen to be one of those. It’s probably another one of those little creative outlets of mine. But over the years I have found that the best gift you can give to your friends and family is the gift of time.
THE BEST GIFT YOU CAN GIVE IS THE GIFT OF TIME.
Time seems to be quite precious these days and to give some, especially one-on-one time is invaluable. To spend an afternoon having lunch or tea or breakfast with a friend will bring more joy than you can imagine.
My favorite gift to give a friend is to simply take them to lunch (or dinner or breakfast). Spending this time together enhances our friendship tenfold. And believe me, this gift alone is plenty but it’s always nice to give it in a fun and creative way. Therefore, I thought I would share a few different ideas I’ve used.
This is the gift tag I use.
You just fill in the date, time and place. This tag could easily be slipped into a card.
Or you can add some gift items to go along with it . . .
As simple as buying a tea cup and saucer.
I usually buy my tea cups and saucers at a local thrift shop and then you can fill them with just about anything, like some favorite tea and tie the gift tag right on the cup.
Or one of my favorite, place a little succulent in the tea cup.
If you want to spend a little more, add a watch (to go along with the time theme).
Or pick up a little bouquet of flowers and tie the gift tag onto them.
I also keep my eye out for fun tea cup picture frames, which you could wrap alone or add with the flowers.
This tea cup frame, I placed the gift tag right inside the frame.
Another option is to buy a plant, a tea cup, and your favorite tea and package them together.
You can add as much or as little as you want to this theme. It’s really the TIME you give that will mean the most.
Believe me, I know first hand. My cute daughter gave me the gift of having High Tea at Grand America for Christmas this year. We spent a delightful two hours just eating and sipping and laughing.
As always my friends thanks for dropping by. Hope this sparked some ideas for you to share with some friends. Don’t forget to sign up for my email list if you want to receive other gift ideas.
I’m now going to join my friend Jennifer and the rest of the group for Thursday Favorite Things and
