Each year I seem to choose a new type of ‘summer uniform’.
One that is comfy . . .
Easy to put together . . .
One that can take me from playing around the house . . .
to lunch with friends . . .
even to the grocery store . . .
and then a date with hubby.
This seems to fit the bill this season, a simple pair of linen pants and a fun tee, a piece of jewelry, and a pair of sandals.
How about you, have you found your ‘summer uniform’?
As always my friends, thanks for dropping by. Have a wonderful day!

You are so welcome. Let me know if you scored some, I would love to see how you style them.

Well, you made the right choices. You look wonderful in your slouchy yellow pants and tee. My summer wardrobe includes a bit of everything that has that chill vibe.
trinagrandinetti says
Glenda, you are the queen of chill and vibe so I’ll be peeking in daily for summer inspiration.

Ohhhh I like this so much. It seems simple, but it isn’t. If I could, I would copy it just like that. But I don’t have hips or a bum and I am not really blond, which means grey near my face is dangerous. But boy oh boy do I like this. Don’t you have trouble with bare feet and shoes in summer. I get blisters everywhere as my feet swell and get very sensitive in the heat.

PS .. I like your hair like this a lot as well.
trinagrandinetti says
Thanks for the hair compliment, I do need to remind myself that a little length is best for my hair style. And, thanks for the outfit compliment as well, you so could copy this and look wonderful in it. As for the bare feet, no, I don’t seem to have trouble with them in the summer, quite grateful for that.

Trina , I love your uniform!, I love the colors and the easy shapes, and the whole relaxed vibe. I wish I had a uniform , but I guess I do not. I wear a lot of denim and dresses and there is nothing uniform about that!
Happy weekend dear Trina.

Thank you Elle, and I totally agree, there is nothing uniform about your unique denim and dresses, which I totally love seeing.

Trina, I love your monogrammed necklace. I don’t think it is an initial! is it Missoni ? Anyway, it is perfect with this casual, but chic outfit,

Sorry I forgot to ask earlier, my son just made a homemade chocolate torte , and I am afraid, I was utterly, fantastically , distracted!

Homemade chocolate torte? I would become totally distracted as well. As for the necklace, it was actually a homemade gift made by my daughter for mother’s day, the ‘M’ stands for mother and on the back side is a #2, for mother of two.

Love this look – I’ve been wearing linen trousers with a tee, too – so easy. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday!
trinagrandinetti says
Thank you Patti, I can’t seem to get enough of linen and tee’s this season, it must be my age.

Trina, thank you for listing my blog, the age of grace as a place to visit. Love your blog too!!

You always make it look so easy, Trina. How you manage to wear a linen pant so casually and not have it look like origami is beyond me. I can’t even look at linen without it wrinkling. I really, really love that lemony yellow shade on you, especially nice paired with the grey. Gorgeous!

Haha, I’m still laughing at your description of linen, my husband will love it! He refuses to wear anything linen because of the wrinkling effect. I just don’t worry about it. The one and only time I talked him into wearing a pair of linen trousers we were in Italy and he came out dressed in his tan linen trousers, white short sleeve button down and his NIKE free runs, yep, seriously. So I gave up any hope after that.

Brilliant uniform … I like it far better than my skinnies and floaty top. Linen suits an elegant woman, and you really wear it in an unaffected, comfortable and sophisticated way. You look fabulous as always. Lemon, silver and gray; a knockout surprise that works so well. Don’t you love your white watch, and aren’t you surprised how it goes with everything during the summer?
trinagrandinetti says
Thank you, I do love linen these days, but I also love your skinnies and floaty top. And, yes, I absolutely love my white watch, I find myself putting it on daily. Mine is ceramic so it’s practically weightless which makes me love it even more.
