As I mentioned last week, having a get-together doesn’t need to be an elaborate event. All it takes is some simple treats, fresh flowers, a fun place to meet and choosing something to wear.
Summer is the perfect time to make this happen.
Move a few chairs under a tree . . .
Pull up a little serving table . . . cover it with something summery (I chose a white table cloth) . . .
Cut some flowers from your garden, or buy a bunch at your local supermarket. . .
Place a few simple treats on a three tier server . . .
(for today I just made cucumber sandwiches by cutting the bread with a biscuit cutter and spreading vegi cream cheese and then placing a cucumber and some shredded carrots in-between, some fruit kabobs and cupcakes)
Fill a vase with lemonade (it just looks cuter) . . .
And then call up some friends.
Your afternoon will then be full to the brim.
I kept it more simple by wearing my (ok, it’s another seersucker) skirt with a blouse tied at the waist and sneakers. This made it easy to set up and clean up.
Whether you choose to have a large gathering, a small gathering, or just a time to sit and reflect by yourself . . .
Do it with passion . . . and love because you’re worth it!
This time I wore the same skirt just dressed it up a bit.
As always my friends, thanks for dropping by. Have a wonderful day.
