Yes, I’m talking about these kind of readers.
These cute little things we, as mature women, tend to stick in every handbag, place in every room where there is reading material, and are forever reaching for another spare pair.
I don’t know about you, but I have found that ‘readers’ have now become another fun accessory. And with any accessory they can say quite a lot about the person wearing them.
For example . . .
This pair of (Florence readers in blue) from readers.com fashion statement collection say, “yes, I’m still young and fun and even kind of funky”.
They also say, “I’m not afraid of color, I’m not afraid of being noticed”.
Or maybe your more in the mood for these . . .
(the Pauline in black/pink fade)
Now this cute little pair of ‘readers’ say “I’m all about the books”, but with a quirky little style added in.
When I put these on, I really do feel like reading, or maybe it’s just because I might feel like a true librarian.
Since I like to play accessory with my readers, I’m not one to spend a huge amount on them. I was so thrilled to find these readers at readers.com because all their readers are under $20 with several styles and colors to choose from.
I mean, come on, the Honolulu in green tortoise. How fun are those?
And, I really think I need the Rio Flex in red for the time I need to stand out in the crowd.
Or maybe the Rosette, because they might help me look a bit smarter.
I was also reminded yesterday (from Molly) that summer reading is just around the corner.
So, I must get thinking about a pair of Sun readers, which I’ve never had before. I’m thinking I might go with the Elaine Bi-focul reader in black.
Ok, time to spill the beans. Do you wear readers yet? If so how many pairs do you own? And, have you got to the point you add them as accessories yet?
As always my friends, thanks for dropping by . . .
By the way, this is what I’m currently reading and can’t wait to get back to it.
Any great books you want to recommend?
Happy Reading to you.
