As you can see, it was tea-time again. This time I drew my inspiration from nature and tried to bring a bit of it indoors. It all begins with the invitation and then I move forward.
The dishes I chose to use for this occasion were ones I received for my wedding (26 years ago). I recently added to them and have now placed my mother’s day wish to my family for some goblets. Does this mean my taste has stayed the same for all these years?
I found that decorating the tablescape for this setting was completely enjoyable, easy, and refreshing. I simply walked around my home and gathered accessories that were nature based and threw in some fresh plants (instead of flowers).
I also added some chalk board painted items, such as the name-tags, which I tied with a ribbon onto each napkin. Each guest also had a terracotta pot which I painted with chalk board paint and then wrote “A cup of friendship” and inserted a potted daffodil by each of their plates. It was a fun way to add nature to the table and to send home as a gift.
I’ve been having some fun with chalkboard art lately and decided this would make a great project to share. I hung a simple message from the chandelier and then wrote the menu on a cheese slate.
Each guest left with their own little chalkboard plaque, chalk, wool felt for erasers and some instructions and ideas. I can’t wait to see what they all create.
TIME spent with friends is priceless.
This is what I thought of wearing.
But on second thought, this cardigan won over the jacket.
Thanks for dropping by, have a wonderful day.

How beautiful everything Trina, is beautiful decoration of the table and the house. you are a very elegant and delicate, your friends should be very happy with you. I love your home and your way of life. Your outfit are real cuties, a delicacy and elegance that impresses me. Not to choose from, the first and the second is beautiful too. Perhaps the first pick, I’m very classic. I love your lace gloves and also a way to pose for pictures.

You and the little angel looked so cute on the porch, and then I scrolled through all your lovely pictures (before I read your post), and it just got better and better! Such a lovely table, and the floral print cardigan is just perfect for your tea party! I am glad that we all are virtually invited to join!

Thank you ‘joining’ in. I sure wish we could all have a real tea-party together. Wouldn’t that be delightful?

Oh, I ‘ve been watching for this post Trina! Everything is even more magical than I imagined it would be. The flowers, the cake, the potted place settings. {Sigh} Beautiful. I loved your cream jacket, but when I saw the flowery cardigan, you knew you had to go with that. The way the ruffle is designed is so unique and pretty.

Good heavens woman! What a lot of work!. It looks so nice, so so nice. It is unbelievable. I agree that time spent with friends is the best time. But setting a table like this is one of my worst nightmares. When more than 2 people visit me and I have to feed them I get all stressy. Strange but I cannot help it. Having to do a table like you did would freak me out.
As for your outfits: they are both very nice. The first one (to me that is) I would wear to attend a wedding as it is more formal. Lovely jacket and hat.
So I agree with your choice for that gorgeous cardigan. Great shoes and legs too.
By this time I am sensing you have many clothes and shoes…. but look who is talking haha.
