Some tea party ideas are WAY over due so today I hope you can sit back and enjoy. My friend and I love to host old fashion tea parties. We truly believe its the best way to enrich friendships and spend an afternoon full of laughter. My dear friend Lori always host one in February and as you will see, she goes ALL OUT. She is the most creative, talented, and amazing woman I know.
Last year her theme was, “An afternnoon at a Paris Bakery”. When we walked in her home we were embraced into a delicate homemade bakery. Just the little details of the table settings were enough to bring complete joy to our lives.
After our fun luncheon we were all given beautiful bakery boxes in which we could go around her room and fill to our hearts content. Seriously, can you believe one woman baked all these incredible treats?
Now for the scarves, Sylvia at 40plusstyleblog had a challenge to see if we could wear a square silk scarf a few different ways. This scarf I received as a gift (which was placed on each of our chairs) at the tea party. I actually had a lot of fun experimenting with this lovely scarf and now look forward to wearing it several ways with several outfits. These are just a sampling of what I came up with.
Now you can all go grab your wonderful scarves and have your friends over for tea. It makes for a delightful afternoon.
