When my daughter showed up for our mother/daughter day together, I took one look at her and thought, yep, she is for sure my daughter. Who else would think to mix cheetah print with stripes and then bring it all together with mint? I thought it was fabulous so I couldn’t resist sharing.
As for me, well, I was having one of those moments where I just felt the need to be very ladylike. I think it started by finding a pair of my grandmothers lovely gloves tucked inside my amore (and she was a cute little lady). Therefore; I brought on the lace, pearls and brocade. You will notice I had to add the modern touch with my boots (practicality), and a touch of my personal style.
After all, the sun had just broke through the awful inversion and we were going to enjoy it for a minute. I think our expressions show how grateful we were to see brightness again.
I hope you all have a ‘bright’ and enjoyable weekend. While you’re at it, try mixing up some patterns, or just go ahead and be ladylike, but do share with us.
Next time I’m thinking grandma (my mother) will need to join the picture. She is the one who started all this dress up stuff.

Sooooo cute, I must of not been out in the 5 minute time frame that the sun was shinning. You two just look so fabulous, and I know you are right about all the dress up stuff. After I retired for my whole four months and decided I was bored, during my interview with my now current job of eight years, I was asked why I was wanting to come back to work, and of course my answer was that I had no place to wear my cute outfits. I will soon be turning the big 70 and still love to dress up, it is in my blood, just can’t help myself.

Definitely going to remember this line in case I ever decide to go back into the work force. That’a the best I’ve heard.

Thought she was you. Seriously. Like mother, like daughter … how nice for you both! You both have the textury-layery gene.
Enjoy the weather, if it hasn’t already changed.

I just want to hug you! Thanks for being so kind.

I love your coat and your scarf. I really like the color scheme of your look is soft and sweet. The necklace is lovely and the boots give it a very successful informal outfit. A very pretty daughter, but never commented outfits of young people, they who have easy.

Isn’t that the truth (about the young). Although, I seriously wouldn’t trade ages, I’m enjoying these mature years.

The both of you look absolutely amazing. Well done ladies. So inventive in your combinations. So different but both very fun and elegant.
And Trina: what a lovely pretty daughter. Pictures like that make me want to be young again. But to tell you the truth… it wouldn’t help if I were, as I was never that pretty when I was young haha LOL
