Since I’m a lover of books, I’m one that usually reads or has read the book before its made into a movie. In the next month we have four incredible books that are hitting the big screen. If Lincoln, which I saw last Saturday evening, is any indication on how they will compare to the book, we are in for a great movie month. But, with that being said, if you haven’t read any of these four, I would recommend you at least try one. If you only want to read one, well The Hobbit is my ALL time favorite, in fact I still have a few weeks to hurry and re-read this. And the Life of Pi will not disappoint you. Happy Reading! Let me know what you think of the movies and books if you get to them. Yes, I do plan on seeing all four of the movies and can’t wait to do so.
« ‘Tell the Wolves I’m Home’ is a coming of age book with 14 year old June Elbus narrating the story. Nobody really “gets” June and her quirkiness except her uncle Finn who is dying of aides. This sweet book hit every emotion I had. It had me laughing out loud, silently crying, hurting, and loving like only a mother knows how to love. Brunt gives you a story that entertains and at the same time reminds us how to forgive, how to acceptance others and most importantly, how to love everyone. When I finished this book I literally wanted to hug it close to my heart.
